Our little girl was born at just 24 weeks gestationally. With things being unstable for so many weeks, I was hesitant to buy anything for her. But after she showed us what a fighter she is I finally made my first purchase for her and this blanket and hat was it. It is perfect for life in the NICU because our little one is still hooked up to monitors and the cords can just slip right out the bottom. Not to mention it is incredibly soft on her premature skin and she absolutely loves it. It’s the perfect mixture of swaddle and stretch to mimic what life was probably like in the womb. I’ve already put another blanket in my cart so we have an extra for when the first one gets dirty. For us, this isn’t only cute and super practical for a premature baby, but it marks a milestone for our little girl (named Hope) being able to be in an open crib in her own clothes.
I purchased this set before our little one arrived and used it first at the hospital. She was so cozy in it and slept amazing. It kept her warm and comfortable. The stretch provides the perfect swaddle to contain her hands and keep her sleeping through eat startling wake. We love Lou Lou!
I am in love with these swaddles and hats! It is so comforting knowing they are so soft and breathable for her newborn skin.
